David and Anja’s wedding

We will be marrying at St Mary’s, Albury, Anja’s parish church, on Saturday November 16th at 4.00 pm. All Godmanchester (and Hilton) friends are warmly invited to attend both the service and the very simple ‘do’ in the pub afterwards – please accept this as your invitation, and feel free to pass it on to anyone you think might be interested! There is no need to let us know if you are coming to the service only, although there may be standing room only as it is a small church. If you would like to come to the ‘do’, to which you are most welcome, please let us know for catering purposes. Directions to the nearby pub will be given out at the service. St Mary’s Albury is near Bishop’s Stortford, about an hour’s drive from here, at Church End, Albury, Ware, Herts. SG11 2JQ. Please, no presents, just your presence. With love.

Vestry prayer

All those who have a ministering role in the 9.30 Eucharist – lesson readers, intercessors, chalice assistants, pianists and those who pray at the healing service – are invited, indeed warmly encouraged, to join the altar party in the vestry for prayer just before the service starts. Please come boldly into the vestry at about 9.25, and please take it as read that this is a permanent invitation for all concerned, even when this notice no longer appears in the newsletter.
