Bellringing
History
For over 25 years some of the team have been prominent members of the Huntingdon Church Bell Restoration Society involved in restoring and repairing bells in 130 churches in the area, training new teams in churches with recently restored bells and ringing bells for weddings and special occasions in churches which have had their bells restored but do not yet have their own ringing team.
The Current Situation
We have a team of eight regular ringers who also maintain the bells. They ring for the 9.45 service every Sunday, for weddings, for all three services on Christmas Eve and again on Christmas morning, and for special occasions. The team maintains the long-standing traditions of ringing the curfew, ringing the old year out and the New Year in and raising and lowering the flag on the church tower.
