God, our light and our salvation:
illuminate our lives,
that we may see your goodness in the land of the living,
and looking on your beauty
may be changed into the likeness of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Friends of St Mary’s AGM
The Friends of St Mary’s AGM will be held today at 2.30pm in the church. We are serving a delicious tea afterwards so do please come.
Talking Newspaper – Help Needed!
Many of you will know about the Talking Newspaper, but for those who do not, it is a service whereby a recording is made of the Hunts and St Neots Post newspapers each week, for distribution to the blind and partially sighted.
We are now very short of people to prepare the material for recording. It is not an onerous task (that’s what they all say) and requires about an hour and a half of preparation time. Newspapers need to be collected from the Hunts Post office in Huntingdon, from Wednesday morning onwards, and the prepared boards need to be in the recording studio no later than lunchtime on Thursday; so it is flexible as to when you wish to do the task.
If we can gather a few helpers then it will only require participating every 7 or 8 weeks. At the moment, there are just 3 of us left.
If you think this is something you could help with, it would be hugely appreciated as it would be a great pity if this were to have to come to an end.
Please feel free to contact me if you need any further information (no pressure if you decide it is not for you). Thank you in anticipation.

The Shoebox Appeal
Our Church will once again be supporting The Samaritan’s Purse ‘Operation Christmas Child’ otherwise known as The Shoebox appeal. Operation Christmas Child is a worldwide project that involves covering a show box in wrapping paper and packing it with toys, hygiene items (no toothpaste), pens, pencils, school items, accessories and a personal note for a child living in poverty. The shoe box gifts bring huge amounts of joy all around the world and maybe the only present that some children ever receive.
It would be really fantastic if as a church we could collect 50 boxes. Please take a leaflet from the back of the church and bring your box back on Sunday 14th November, or they can be left at 14 Corpus Christi Lane in the covered porch area and I will ensure they get delivered to Church. Thank you
Thank you to all who supported the Charities Committee coffee morning this week in aid of Thrive. You helped to raise a fantastic £281.40. Jane Nicholls
