Godmanchester Food Bank

Thank you to everyone who has generously donated to the food bank. Joe George, project manager, reports that this summer the food bank has supported over 80 families; involving 100 adults and 150 children. Each week, in addition to normal food parcels, they have received fresh food with simple recipe cards to have fun preparing and cooking together. It has been a great joy to see the pleasure this has given.

Thank you all for helping to make it possible. Liz Irving.

Town Show Request

The ladies from the church have always done us proud each year, with their baking skills, in producing wonderful cakes to add to our afternoon teas.

Ladies (and gentlemen) would you be able to bake some of your excellent cakes for our refreshment stall? Contributions will be gratefully accepted during the morning of Saturday 25th September at the nursery, but if that is difficult for people and they find that dropping them off at the church would be better for them we can arrange for collection from there.

Mike & Ann Grice on 07773 401 853 would be happy to make alternative arrangements for collection if necessary.
